to revival
The incredible story of Yad Mordechai

When you enter Kibbutz Yad Mordechai,
it is next to impossible to guess that it is an abyss, yet rise up to fight against

the story of the Holocaust, and that one
of the most daring and difficult battles
of the Israeli War of Independence was
fought on this soil.
Right at the entrance to the museum,
the exposed concrete building, with the
special angles that stands at the top of

uprising against the Nazis. This tragic
and heroic chapter in human history
bears testimony to the resilience of the
human spirit, its ability to sink into
suppression and evil.
The cemetery is located right outside
the museum, as is a grave in which the
heroic members of the kibbutz who
died protecting the land in the War of
Independence are buried. It overlooks
the memorial in 1948 erected in honor
of Mordechai Anielewicz and creates a
