Impact: 2nd Floor

Moving from the first-floor lobby, you will
either enter one of the many LED-walled
elevators featuring dynamic images from
Israel, or ascend the steps of the etched-
glass, spiral staircase — which extends
up through all six above-ground floors of
the museum—and onto the Impact Floor.
Devoted to demonstrating the enormous
influence of the Bible on nearly every
aspect of life, the second floor features
27,000-square-feet of exhibit space divided
among four major exhibit areas:

The Bible in the World
This section features 23 exhibits demonstrating
the depth and breadth of the Bible’s impact
on subjects like architecture, art, education,
fashion, human rights, science, literature and
more.

The Bible in America
From the arrivals of the first Christian and
Jewish settlers all the way to our modern
day, this area reveals how the Bible became
a powerful influence on social, spiritual and
political life in the United States. Topics
to explore include our nation’s founding,
spiritual revivals, the Civil War and more.
Here you will also see the “Equality Before
God: Liberty’s Struggle” exhibit where
visitors can explore how the ideals of the
Bible underlay the atmosphere of revolution
and independence leading up to the birth of
the United States. This section is brimming
with dozens of remarkable artifacts including
an exact, life-sized replica of the Liberty Bell.
